The Art of Dana ParlierEnter the Dana Parlier Gallery
Parlier received a Lloyd Sherwood Study grant, an Edward G. Mcdowell Travel grant, where he travelled in Europe for 4 1/2 months studying art history, and was chosen to participate in the Model to Monument Program at the Newington-Cropsey Foundation which culminated in the installation of "Theme of Balance", a bronze sculpture on the campus of Vanderbilt University. Parlier is a Technical Instructor for the welding and bronze casting program at the Art Students League of NY. He was an instructor for welding, figurative clay sculpture and the gifted youth program at the Educational Alliance Art School, NY, NY, as well as an instructor and founder of the figurative clay sculpture program at the American Wood Carving School, Wayne, NJ. His work is represented by Figureworks Gallery in New York and Wohlfarth Galleries in Washington DC and Provincetown, MA. Enter the Dana Parlier Gallery |
